Alligator Farm Rookery

Pictures from the Rookery at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm.

I took these pictures in the spring of 2015. The rookery is part of the Alligator Farm. Birds fly in every spring to reproduce. Hundreds of alligators congregate in the rookery's swampy "floor," thus offering natural protection from ground-based predators.
