Cross Country - 1

This is the first of three galleries that capture images from a cross-country drive I took in July 2017. I met my youngest daughter in Asheville, NC, to become her "co-pilot" as she continued to drive her truck and dog, Boogie, to Seattle, where she had taken a new job with the Swedish Hospital Group.

We drove 7-12 hours per day, stopping along the way so I could take a few pictures when we saw something interesting. We tried to take scenic routes and stay off Interstate highways as much as possible.

This gallery covers our route from Asheville, to Cincinnati, to Madison, to Minneapolis, to Mansfield, South Dakota (population 93).

Gallery 2 will cover the route from South Dakota through Colorado to Montana.

Gallery 3 will cover Montana, including Glacier National Park, across Idaho to the Palouse area of Washington, then Mt. Rainier, Tacoma, and Seattle.

I will post galleries 2 and 3 over the next two weeks.

I hope you enjoy the trip across our beautiful country!
