Fall 2014 in the NC Mountains

I took these photos on a photo safari that began in Blowing Rock, NC, in early October 2014. I followed Globe Road out of town, winding eventually to Grandfather Mountain. I then traveled to Ashe County, NC, and then into Virginia along Hwy 58 to both White Top Mountain and Grayson Highlands State Park. The next day, I started in Alleghany County, NC, and followed Hwys 113 and 18 to North Wilkesboro.
