Foggy Morning on the New River

This past Saturday morning, 11/5/11, we were at our mountain place on the New River in Alleghany County, NC. I went out early to take some sunrise pictures, but realized there were no clouds so there would not be good color. However, a heavy fog was laying along the river, so I decided just to explore the foggy river. Here are some shots from that trip, including some black and white shots featuring trees. I really have come to love trees that have dropped their leaves. The North and South Forks of the New River converge a mile or so above our place. Many of these shots are in Ashe County.

Hope you enjoy these photos.
