Hawaii - An Island Cruise
Joyce and I took a "bucket list" trip to Hawaii from July 24-August 3, 2014. We flew to Honolulu and spent two nights there before boarding the Pride of America, an NCL cruise line ship. The ship leaves Honolulu on Saturday and, in one week, visits the islands of Maui; Hawaii, "The Big Island;" and Kauai. Hawaii has 132 islands, but only eight are inhabited. Only the three we visited, plus Oahu, have significant populations. The cruise is seven days, and it is a great way to take a first trip to Hawaii. (If I go back, I would go directly to Kauai, which was my favorite island.) I took 1,500 pictures on this trip, and this gallery has 61, so you can see I have done my best to condense this gallery, even though it was very hard. The pictures follow our route. When you open the Web site, you will find the thumbnail shots with one larger photo to the right. Scroll down just a little, and below the larger photo you will see a caption and title. As you scroll through the gallery, you will see that information for each shot. If you click on "slideshow," on the upper right, you will see each photo in full screen, without the caption and title.
Hawaii is a beautiful place that is well worth the visit.
