Whidbey Island, Washington
I visited Whidbey Island, Washington, in August 2016, having a photographer friend who lives there as a guide. We also visited Mt. Rainier (you can see my pictures in my Mt. Rainier gallery). Whidbey Island lies in the Puget Sound about 30 miles north of Seattle. It is accessible by car only by ferries. The island is about 168 square miles and has a population of around 60,000. There are only three incorporated towns on the island, which is largely rural.
I found the island to be beautiful and rich in history. I hope my pictures will give you some sense of the island. You can also visit
